About 35-40-sq m (approximately 375-425-sq ft) in size, the 14 rooms make up the Courtyard Guestrooms. Originally the castle's horse stables, these five-star guest rooms are fit for a king - equipped with courtyard access and state-of-the-art amenities.
The spacious ground floor Courtyard Rooms flood with natural daylight as patio doors open to the beautifully manicured gardens. Views of the gardens include artwork by Lloyd Le Blanc and the late Judith Holmes Drewry, such as the Swans in Flight bronze sculpture and water feature - an element unique to our Northwest Ireland castle. Sandstone floors, deep pile rugs, bespoke oak furniture, and walls clad in cream coloured wood blend to give this Donegal lodging the essence of a warm country cottage. Given the option of king four poster or canopy beds, amenities are are finished to the highest of standards.
Courtyard Room accommodations include a 32-inch flat-screen TV, refreshment centre, built-in cedar wardrobes with a digital lock safe, Wi-Fi connectivity, and dual-voltage sockets.
Bathrooms feature wood paneling, marble tiling, double basin vanity units with granite countertop, a built-in bath, separate glazed shower, and toilet compartments.
Luxury robes and slippers are provided as standard.
The 14 rooms that comprise the Courtyard Rooms are the only rooms that may be reserved in blocks of two or three (one upstairs, one downstairs OR two upstairs, one downstairs), and are ideal for larger families or intimate get-togethers seeking privacy.
